As a consequence, many sites use flash, videos, music and high-resolution pictures on their pages. Even advertisers are utilizing technological methods that require high-speed Internet to view. I believe a slow Internet speed is an awful thing for every computer users, having to waste lots of time to open/ browse a website without doing any thing. If you are one who wants to increase Internet speed, there is a way to increase your speed by as much as 20%, with a simple tweak, just follow my tips here to simply get faster Internet speed by 20%.

 

Instructions:

1. Go to Start -> select Run and type “gpedit.msc” (without the “).
2. In the left pane of the window, at Local Computer Policy select Computer Configuration -> click Administrative Templates -> Network -> QOS Packet Scheduler. Then at the right, double click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

 

 

3. By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default. Click the bubble that says “Enabled.” at the Options, change the value of the number in the Bandwidth limit (%) box to “0″.

 

 

4. Click “OK” to save your settings and restart your PC. After rebooting you should see a noticeable improvement in your net speed.

I have tested on Windows XP and Windows 7. Other OS not tested.
